The Rotary Club of Mombasa held a 2nd Joint Meeting on Wednesday 30th August. This time round it incorporated the Rotary Clubs of Kilindini and Mombasa Central. There was representation from the Rotaract Clubs of Mombasa and Nyali as well, through their Presidents Ms. Pendo and Ms. Mumbi respectively.
The Guest Speaker of the Day was the Mombasa County Secretary, Hon. Farouk Jeizan who took the attendees on a journey of the various projects and developments that the County Government has been putting in place. He touched on quite a number of topics ranging from Public Service Improvements, Environment, Education and the overall direction that the County Government was taking.
His passion for the county oozed freely in his presentation and he resonated well with those in attendance.
The CS also took time to respond to a number of questions that were raised from the floor, much to the satisfaction of all.
The Lunch meeting was very well attended with the Clubs exchanging Banners as well as presenting a token of appreciation to the CS in the form of a Certificate, Objects of Rotary and The 4-Way Test.
